SonicAlert Review and Giveaway - Ends 4/26

When I was contacted by Sonic Alert I was very excited. Sonic Alert is a company that was started about 30 years ago and specializes in products, like phones and alarm clocks, for the hearing impaired and hard to wake.
I jumped at the chance to review one of their alarm clocks. Over the years I have had an extremely hard time finding an alarm clock that was loud enough to wake me. So you can only imagine how excited and hopeful I was to try out the Sonic Bomb alarm clock from Sonic Alert. Not only does this clock have a tone adjustment, but it  also comes with a vibrator to place under your mattress. This is optional but I used it to see what it would like. Let me tell you, there is no sleeping through this alarm in the morning!  Between the buzzer and the vibrating bed you are up and ready to go.

Another idea I like about this product is that it is perfect for parents that have infants that sleep in their room. I know that especially in the first few months we parents need all the sleep we can get and the last thing we need is an alarm clock going off at six in the morning waking our little one. Well that won't happen with Sonic Alerts clocks! Just set the alarm to vibrate and you or partner will wake without disturbing the baby! How cool is that!

Here's how Sonic Alert got started:

"Thirty years ago I began building a light-flashing signal system to help my grandmother. Even when I was a child, my grandmother had very little hearing. By the time I was a teenager, she couldn't hear anything at all. Constantly worried that she would not hear if her loved ones called or visited, she felt isolated and frightened.

Having experimented with electronics since I was seven years old, I was determined to make something to help her. What I first came up with was a system that flashed lights around her home in response to the doorbell, telephone, intercom and fire alarm system. It was remarkable how such a simple device eased so much of the frustration of her daily life. Although that system was perfect for her, it required running wires all over her house and took almost a week to install. I knew that for others to benefit from what I had developed for my grandmother, a wireless, easy-to-install system was needed. Encouraged by my family, I founded Sonic Alert to produce these new systems."
